North Haven Community School partnership brings experiential education to North Haven

North Haven Community School (NHCS) and Hurricane Island Center for Science and Leadership are hosting a panel discussion at Waterman's Community Center on August 7, 2023 at 7:00pm. The discussion focuses on the partnership between Hurricane Island and NHCS designed to implement place-based learning practices and a hands-on curriculum.

The panel features NHCS students Hannah White and Sophie Hansen, Principal Shaun Johnson, and Projects Building Coordinator Amilia Campbell from NHCS, as well as Chief Innovation Officer for the Maine Department of Education, Page Nichols, and author and educator David Sobel.
