New Ferry Ticket Prices - October 2019
Effective October 1, 2019, the Maine State Ferry Service will implement a new ticket pricing structure. The State will discard the current flat-rate structure and implement a new structure that has three groups of ticket prices, one for Islesboro, a second for North Haven, Vinalhaven, Frenchboro, and Swan's Island, and a third pricing structure for Matinicus. Additionally, from October 1st through May 31st, the ticket prices will be lower than for the period June 1st through September 30th. In both cases, tickets will cost more than they do now. The purpose of the ticket price increases is to compensate for a 17% increase in the Ferry Service's operating costs.
You can view the new pricing structure here.
In addition to these changes, the Ferry Service plans to issue a new tariff -- Tariff #9 -- that will include changes in reservation fees and parking fees, information on ticket exchanges, and other things. The Ferry Service Advisory Board expects to receive a draft of the new tariff in the next few days. North Haven's Advisory Board members are Jon Emerson (primary) and Rick Lattimer (alternate). Please see them with any questions or concerns.

In addition, the work would include removing and replacing the gutters, repairing and painting the soffits and fascia boards, and performing other associated work as needed to ensure the roof and associated structures are free from rot. The Town should expect the materials and workmanship used to replace the roof to last at least 20 years.
Proposals Due: Submit proposals to the Town Office. You may deliver your proposal in person to the Town Office or send it via email to Rick Lattimer, town administrator, at [email protected] Proposals will be evaluated at the end of each calendar month until an acceptable proposal is received.
Performance Period: Negotiable.
